CONSULTATION

Public consultation on the redevelopment of Bromley-by-Bow Gasworks.

We held our second public consultation on Tuesday the 21st and Saturday 25th February at the Miller House Cafe.

Thank you to those that attended and provided their feedback on the initial proposals.

CONSULTATION TIMELINE

2022 has been a busy year for engagement on the project with the team welcoming over 200 local people onto the site and working with almost 140 students from schools in the area.

You can find out what we’ve been up to in more detail below.

Spring: March – May

Spring 2022

    • One-to-one meetings with community groups

 

    • Guided tours of the site with community groups




      • 8 students from the Harris Academy for a week of career insights


      • A day of workshops with 90 Harris Academy Year 7 students


Summer: June - August

Summer 2022

    • 4 guided site tours with local community groups

 

    • 8 public tours welcoming over 80 people on site

 

Autumn: September – October

Autumn 2022

    • 10 meetings and guided tours with local community groups

 

    • Pop-up at Stratford market

 

    • 6 public tours of the site, welcoming over 80 people on site

    • Over 50 people at our first drop-in consultation

     

    • Over 40 Year 2 students at Cleve’s Primary School

 

Winter Engagement: November – December

Winter 2022 & 2023

    • Guided site tour with local residents who previously worked on site

    • 2 guided tours with local community groups

    • 6 guided tours of the site, welcoming over 70 people on the site
    • 2 consultation drop-ins at the Miller House Cafe, meeting over 80 people

    • A day of workshops and feedback with 140 students from the Harris Academy

Winter Engagement: November – December

Spring 2023

    • One-on-one meetings with community groups

    • Matchgirls Memorial site visit

    • Two week work experience with 40 students from Newham College
