We were delighted to re-visit the Harris Science Academy this February, reconnecting with the Year 7s we met last year.
In 2022, we ran three workshops about the Gasworks over the course of a full school day with Year 7 students. The students shared their ideas for the future of the site and learnt about architecture, design, biodiversity and history.
We returned this year, to show the students, now in Year 8, how their design ideas had been incorporated into the latest plans. Over the course of an afternoon, we presented the consultation exhibition to the students and ran workshops where the students told us their priorities for the site.
We were also pleased to engage with Year 12 this year, presenting the history of the site, sharing career advice, and gathering their feedback on the proposals before they helped us undertake the workshops with Year 8s.
We had a great time seeing the students again and meeting Year 12s, a big thank you to the Harris Science Academy for facilitating the work.
