Simon Lewis, Berkeley Director, interviewed on The Urbanist Podcast
A few months ago, Simon Lewis, Planning and Development director for Bromley-by-Bow, had the pleasure of joining Andrew Tuck to record a feature for The Urbanist Podcast.
The interview centres on London’s gasholders, their history, their potential and how Berkeley Group Plc is repurposing them for new homes and community assets.
The conversation was broad ranging, from the complexities of working through the refurbishment process to the importance of retaining these structures to celebrate London’s industrial heritage.
Simon and Andrew also talked about how King’s Road Park and Bromley by Bow are set to be transformed into vibrant new places, reconnecting these extensive former gasworks into the surrounding urban fabric.
